figure

i'll keep you updated on my figure class as well...

its been a minute

so it has been a while since i have last updated this
:here are a few happenings around the studio:

so i needed a bed...

the bed is made up of four major pieces
the footboard, the two sides and the headboard
[although there are slats too]
above is the pin that holds the headboard on, there's another on the other side

the hardware i made to fit the pieces together
the metal key fits inside a metal collar in the top piece
this way, using screws is unnecessary and the wood won't wear down

i only used 6 screws to hold the slats in place
and everything else fits together in 5 mins

and it begins

currently i am in rochester, minnesota with jayme for her family's reunion. today everyone gathered at jayme's aunt and uncle's house. while there, we went out into the garage and jayme's uncle scott gave her a pair of deer antlers he didn't want anymore [ jayme wanted to put them on her handlebars]. i noticed he had a Honda motorcycle sitting off to the side of the garage surrounded by the usual garage stuff. he said he didn't ride it anymore and asked if i wanted it. can you believe it? he got it from a friend a while ago for free, and said if i could arrange to come and pick it up, it was all mine!

it's a 1982 Honda 450 Nighthawk, i can't wait to get it and see what i can do with it!

living installation

phillip beesley creates this installation which is both an amazement and kinda creepy. it is a way to create architecture that is more of an environment instead of a standard building.
this interactive installation has fingers that reach out to caress the occupant, almost like being in a breathing lung
